what F.A.R.M. stands for

F.A.R.M. stands for Fabulously & Absolutely Rural-Made and it’s a name that i coined here,
at La Huerta,
La Huerta, Sta. Teresita, Baao, Cam Sur, Philippines
my vegetables farm. as rural communities fade and farmers continue to disappear from our landscape,

i decided to take on me,
that's me in my 6-yr old fores
the task to promote and support those struggling to maintain a rural lifestyle, and those actually living in the rural communities of my town, Baao.
that’s where F.A.R.M. comes in, it is a trademark that is on beautiful things made by rural  folks.
the Philippines may always be labeled as an agricultural country,
but people almost always leave the farm the first chance they get, because of poverty.
with F.A.R.M., i will try to do my part in making them stay.
Baao is full of unsung crafters—
La Huerta RIC (Rural Improvement Club
hard-working men and women, young and old, who deserve their fair share and find it hard, if not impossible, to compete in today’s marketplace. to that end, many of the products we will sell on our website, or in stores “come with a face”—you can “meet” or “get to know” the person behind the product. as the concept grows and you see my F.A.R.M. label on more and more products nationwide, you’ll know you’re supporting rural people like, Nora of Pugay (who boasts she makes the best yoyo quilts), or Danica, Lalaine and Francia (who, collectively, can assembly a yoyo quilt bed spread king size, in a whiz), or Marilyn who sews beautiful tote bags, and a lot more.
buying something made by hand from someone you “know” is my concept of how the world should be, and once was, not so very long ago. look for the F.A.R.M.™ mark on products in stores near you, soon!
